How it started…
It was 2020 and I was rethinking IT ALL. What am I doing, where am I going? Confined to our home, that we had just moved into and renovated from top to bottom. As my husband and I contemplated what our next move was with our careers, we began searching for businesses to buy. As home staging crossed our desk it really got me thinking. THIS was my path; it was truly an “aha” moment.
I realized whenever I walk into a room the first thing I do is rearrange it all in my head. I never honed in on the fact that I do this until that moment of realization that home staging is what I want to do. It made sense, I love design, I love renovation, I love changing up decor and keeping things fresh and current and I’ve already been doing it FOREVER (in my own head) HA! I was that kid constantly rearranging my bedroom when I was growing up and actually enjoyed all the times I’ve moved in my life (13 and counting) and got to set up a new space each time. This was all making total sense now.
It took a solid year+ of prepping, researching, work and self-motivation to take the leap of faith and get my own business started. I became a certified home stager in 2022 and from there it was off to the races. A lot of fear and uncertainty came with the territory and quite frankly a little imposters syndrome too. It’s been a process and everyday I’m still pushing and learning something new.
Having the opportunity to stage homes has been a way for me to be inspired and passionate in my career. It was a much-needed change and the excitement runs through me daily. Each home, client, realtor, is different and I love the little piece of the home selling and buying process that I get to impact.
